A few clear terms for using Mitzvah Alarm and this website.

Operator and availability

Mitzvah Alarm is an independent app by Oleksii Lipovetskii, using the name Galtworks, Germany. Contact o.lipovetskii.dev@gmail.com. Operator information is in our legal notice. The Android app is being prepared for Google Play. This website does not currently sell downloads, subscriptions, or paid features, and no payment is required to browse it.

Using the alarm

Mitzvah Alarm lets you schedule alarms and dismiss them by reciting Modeh Ani or using an alternative dismissal flow. You are responsible for setting the time, granting necessary permissions, and checking the alarm on your own device. Device power, volume, operating-system restrictions, permissions, hardware, and other apps can affect alarms. Keep a separate backup for critical wake-up needs. The app is not an emergency or safety-critical system.

Shabbat and religious information

The Shabbat alarm stops automatically after the duration you select. This describes a feature, not a certification of religious permissibility. Prayer text, translations, transliterations, Shabbat times, and sunset-based reminders are informational aids. Local practice and religious interpretations differ; consult a qualified authority for religious decisions. Verify times for your chosen city and circumstances.

Speech recognition and downloads

Recognition can make mistakes and may be slower on some phones. An internet connection and storage are initially required for the relevant speech model. Network data charges may apply. Once downloaded, speech recognition runs locally. An alternative dismissal flow is available when speaking is unsuitable.

Optional creator support

We plan to offer optional tips for the work of creating and maintaining the app. Tips do not purchase features, subscriptions, priority support, or a promise of future development. They are not charitable donations or represented as tax-deductible. This website currently accepts no payments. See support and payment information before following any future checkout link.

Privacy and intellectual property

Our privacy policy describes data practices. App code and included materials may be subject to their respective licences. Third-party model, software, sound, and data credits are available in the app’s Licenses screen. These terms do not remove permissions granted to you by an applicable open-source licence.

Statutory rights and liability

Nothing here excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and applicable mandatory product liability remains unaffected. We do not promise that every alarm, recognition attempt, or calculated time will be error-free.
